China's Q1 Software Revenues Reach RMB 144 bln

According to Ministry of Industry and Information (MII) statistics, in Q1 2008, China's software industry recorded sales revenue of RMB 144.36 bln, up 29.9% year on year.
The software technology services sector grew the fastest, with 46.4% YoY growth, reaching RMB 25.9 bln in sales revenue. Of this total, software outsourcing services contributed over RMB 1.8 bln, up 100% YoY. Software product sales grew 26.2% to RMB 49.3 bln, comprising 34% of total software industry revenue. During the period, software export revenues reached USD 2.4 bln, up 54.3%.
