China's H1 2012 Video Gaming Market Up 19% YoY%

According to a report on the state of China's video gaming industry in H1 2012 released by the Game Committee of the Publishers Association of China and IDC recently, the Chinese video game market (including PC and mobile online games and PC-based single-player games) saw actual sales revenues of RMB 24.84 bln in H1 2012, an increase of 18.5% over H1 2011.

China's PC online game market saw actual sales revenues - including client-based games, browser games, SNS games, and gaming platform sales - of RMB 23.55 bln, up 16.9% YoY.

Within this figure, self-developed PC online games accounted for actual sales revenues of RMB 16.86 bln, or 71.6% of the online game market's sales revenues, a 63% YoY increase. Overseas exports of self-developed PC online games brought in actual sales revenues of RMB 1.13 bln.
