Baidu Introduces Antivirus Product for China Market

Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU), in cooperation with threat management solutions provider Kaspersky, quietly launched a Chinese-language edition of its Baidu Antivirus product recently. According to Baidu's official webpage for the application, Baidu Antivirus combines Kaspersky's virus-scanning and removal capabilities with Baidu's cloud computing technology. Baidu guarantees that Baidu Antivirus will remain free in perpetuity and will never harass users or leak private user data.

Beta-testing for Baidu Antivirus is currently open only to users with invitation codes.
