Menstrual Health App Dayima Lands RMB 7-digit Series A+ Funding

36Kr.com, 8/28/13

Chai Ke, founder of Beijing-based mobile healthcare app developer Kangzhi Lesi, has announced that the company has received RMB 7-digit Series A+ funding from Mike Cai, Chairman of Xiamen-based photo editing and beautifying product provider Meitu, following USD 7-digit Series A funding from Bertelsmann and ZhenFund in April. According to Chai, Kangzhi Lesi will soon complete a second round of funding.

Kangzhi Lesi's menstrual health mobile app "Dayima" was launched in early 2012, and has reached approximately 20 mln registered users, with a daily active user (DAU) base of approximately 1.9 mln. Advertising has been a key source of Dayima revenue in the past, but the company will pursue various value-added services as part of its business model moving forward, according to Chai. Kangzhi Lesi's development team is comprised of approximately 50 members.
