Movie Ticketing Site Gewara Wins RMB 200 mln Funding

Shanghai Gewara, operator of online movie-ticketing service Gewara.com, has announced that the company has raised RMB 200 mln in series C+ funding from China Media Capital, adding to the USD 20 mln in series C funding landed by the company in late 2013.
Gewara.com allows users in China to purchase movie tickets and choose seating for over 1,000 cinemas in almost 200 cities. As of June 2014, the website's monthly turnover has reached RMB 600 mln.
