Rumor: Zhaopin Acquires Online Recruitment Site CJOL.com

Chinese online recruitment firm Zhaopin (NYSE: ZPIN), a subsidiary of Australian online jobs website operator Seek, has confirmed in an internal email that the company has acquired Shenzhen Xijier Human Resources, operator of online recruitment site CJOL.com. CJOL has appointed Pan Xiaojun, Zhaopin's executive director of personnel as general manager of CJOL, responsible for the company's business operations.

CJOL, established in 1997, is headquartered in Shenzhen, with branches in Guangzhou and Shanghai. In 2002, the company partnered with recruitment platform operator Jobs DB, an entity controlled by Seek, to help Jobs DB set up its recruitment website. CJOL offers recruitment services in mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore.
