Mobile Escort Service 'Rent Me, Please' Secures RMB 5 Mln Angel Funding
iHeima, 3/08/16
Hangzhou-based Aiyou Technology, operator of mobile escort service Kuailai Zuwo (literally "Rent Me, Please"), has secured RMB 5 mln angel funding, which will be used for recruitment, market expansion, brand building, and product and technology updates.
Kuailai Zuwo is a social networking service for people to rent out their spare time through Tencent's (0700.HK) mobile messaging app WeChat. Users upload a photograph, name, gender, age, occupation, and location, as well as "rental" area and activities, such as eating dinner, watching a movie, attending a party, or shopping. Users must also include a schedule, rental price, and code word. When other users agree to hire the escort and pay the fees, the platform exchanges WeChat account numbers, so both users can finalize details for the date. If either party chooses to back out, Kuailai Zuwo refunds the fees.
Kuailai Zuwo, launched in August 2015, currently has 500,000 registered users and is developing an independent app.
