An informed source has revealed that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) held a meeting on August 1 at which it decided to cut its handset testing and network approval fee for CDMA phones from more than RMB 200,000 to RMB 110,000 and eliminated the need for CDMA Development Group (CDG) testing of CDMA devices for manufacturers that have already passed these tests.   Read More...
