3. The Ministry of Information Industry (MII) updates teledensity figures at irregular intervals. Please check past months to determine the most recent update. For December 2007, the official urban fixed-line teledensity figure given by the MII was 41.7, but came with a footnote explaining that the figure used is simply that which applied at the end of 2006. By Marbridge's own calculations, the December 2007 figure should be closer to 39.7
4. The MII’s Internet subscriber figures are based on total number of registered users. As many accounts are shared by multiple users, figures for total number of users, both registered and unregistered, are considerably higher than those shown here.
