Zhao Yilei, a representative in the Securities Office of Shanghai-listed China United Telecommunications Corp Ltd (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) claims that China Unicom has 80,000 dual-use GSM and CDMA base stations, and will transfer 30,000 of those base stations built mainly to serve its CDMA network to China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK).
Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer Skyworth Digital Holdings (0751.HK) announced on June 24 that Skyworth Group subsidiary Skyworth-BVI has sold a 40% stake in its mobile handset subsidiary, Skyworth Mobile Communications (Shenzhen), to Shenzhen Baoyi Communication (one of Skyworth Mobile's suppliers).
