SMIC Reports Q4 2009 Net Loss of USD 482 Mln

Chinese semiconductor foundry Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) (NYSE: SMI, 0981.HK) has announced its consolidated financial results for Q4 2009, with net revenues reaching USD 333.2 mln, up 22.2% year-on-year and 3.0% quarter-on-quarter.

Net loss attributable to equity holders for the quarter was USD 482.3 mln, compared to a net loss of USD 69.3 mln in Q3 2009, and a net loss of USD 124.5mln in Q4 2008.

The company estimates Q1 2010 revenues will range from flat to a 2% increase QoQ.
