HC 360, 3/03/11

China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) has reportedly approved China National Radio (CNR) to build an integrated internet TV broadcast and control platform. SARFT has, to date, granted permission to build platforms to seven companies: CCTV's national online TV station CNTV, Shanghai Media Group IPTV subsidiary Shanghai BesTV, Hangzhou-based DTV and IPTV operator Wasu Digital Television Media Group, Southern Media Corporation (SMC), Hunan TV, China Radio International (CRI), and now China National Radio (CNR).

The first four (CNTV, BesTV, Wasu Digital Television Media Group, and SMC) have completed platform construction and received integrated broadcast and content Internet TV service licenses from SARFT.
