Sina Tech, 10/26/11

Canonical, the developer behind Ubuntu Linux, announced today that Dell would sell computers with Ubuntu pre-installed in its more than 100 stores in China. Business machines will be the first to be pre-loaded with Linux, with offerings subsequently expanding to include consumer models.

A spokesperson for Canonical China said that the company's partnership with Dell China stores began in October and was currently focused on stores in the East China region. The companies' partnership will expand to more than 100 stores by the end of the year.
