Tencent Acquires European Gaming News Firm

European gaming news site and community operator ZAM Network (Zam.com) has announced it was acquired by Chinese internet giant Tencent (0700.HK) in early February 2012 for an undisclosed amount. Tencent declined to comment.

ZAM Network operates online gaming communities for titles such as World of Warcraft (Wowhead.com), Everquest, and Final Fantasy, as well as game add-on and customization download site MMOUI.com. ZAM Network receives 400 mln monthly visits and 9 mln unique visitors.
