China's Jan-Nov 2012 Rural Appliance Sales Reach RMB 201 Bln

China's Ministry of Commerce has announced that for the first eleven months of 2012, rural appliance sales throughout the country (excluding Shandong, Henan, Sichuan, and Qingdao provinces) totaled 74.93 mln units, generating sales of RMB 201.25 bln, up 22.2% and 18.1%, respectively, over the same 11-month period last year. November sales reached 9.71 mln units, generating RMB 26 bln in revenue, up 12.9% and 12.8% YoY, respectively.

As of the end of November 2012, cumulative rural appliance sales since the rollout of the program has reached 293 mln units and RMB 707.1 bln.
