eLong Launches Vacation Rental and Homestay Brand 'Zhunaer Minsu'

Chinese online travel service provider eLong recently announced that it has launched a new vacation rental and homestay brand called "Zhunaer Minsu." eLong also said that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent's (0700.HK) travel channel Tencent Lvyou, and that Zhunaer Minsu will be Tencent Lvyou's official partner for such short-term lodging products.

eLong said that Zhunaer Minsu was developed by eLong as an internally incubated project and that it will cater mainly to younger travelers born in the 1990s or later. Its business currently covers popular travel destinations including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhejiang, Chengdu, and Yunnan province, and allows users to book accommodations directly with more than 400,000 short-term lodging operators throughout China.
