Online Logistics Service 'G7' Appoints Former Tencent VP as President

Beijing-based Huitong Tianxia IoT Technology, operator of online logistics platform G7, has hired Julian Ma, a former vice president of Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent (0700.HK), as president.
G7, which is backed by Tencent, currently offers product deployment decisions based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, and Ma will lead the company's aggressive push into smart products and upgraded Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Ma will help G7 build up talented management and a top team in AI, strengthen the company's advantage in R&D, and accelerate iterative innovation of products and services.
Ma worked at Tencent for 9 years, and where he was involved in the company's strategy formulation, and oversaw its location-based services, autonomous vehicles, and IoT businesses.
