Huochebang Appoints Former Baidu Direct Sales General Manager as VP of Sales

Guiyang-based online and mobile trucking logistics platform Huochebang Technology (Truck Alliance) has appointed Chen Yongsheng as the company's vice president of sales. Chen was the former direct sales general manager for the China region at Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU).
With the addition of Chen Yongsheng, Huochebang has now added senior managers to its team from each of the BAT (Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent) trio. Feng Liang, a senior engineer at internet and mobile services firm Tencent (0700.HK), joined Huochebang as chief technology officer (CTO) in June 2016. Yu Chaoling, former general manager of B2B direct sales at e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA), joined the company as a strategic advisor in February this year.
As of the end of July, Huochebang had 4.5 mln vehicle operator members and 880,000 shipper members, and daily freight transaction volume reached more than RMB 1.7 bln.
