JD.com Buys Two Parcels of Land in Beijing for RMB 3.85 Bln

Chinese B2C e-commerce platform JD.com (Nasdaq: JD) recently purchased two parcels of land in the Beijing Yizhuang Economic and Technological Development Area for RMB 3.85 bln.

The properties, which have an area of 66,237 square meters, are classified for B4 comprehensive business and financial services land use and S41 public parking lot land usage.

JD.com has not responded to inquiries about what the land will be used for, but a person with knowledge of the matter said that JD.com will use it to establish a research facility.
