Jiemian, 8/08/17

Chinese online travel service provider Ctrip (Nasdaq: CTRP) has announced that its July 2017 hotel room bookings in second-, third-, and fourth-tier cities have exceeded a total of 20 mln, marking a substantial increase YoY.

In addition, Ctrip has initiated strong partnerships with thousands of scenic travel locations across China by assisting them to adopt smart technologies, such as allowing users to scan QR-codes to purchase entry tickets. By implementing such QR-code features, in addition to offering heavy discounts in second-, third-, and fourth-tier cities, Ctrip's entrance ticket bookings in July increased by more than 250% YoY.
