7-Eleven Stores in Hong Kong Add Support for WeChat Pay

Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app and American-Japanese convenience store chain 7-Eleven have partnered to support mobile payments through WeChat Pay in more than 900 7-Eleven locations in Hong Kong.

To commemorate the partnership, WeChat and 7-Eleven are offering a series of consumer promotions valid from August 9 to September 5. WeChat Pay is currently available in 19 countries and supports payment clearance in 12 currencies.
