Data Visualization Solutions Provider Hydata Raises RMB 100 Mln Series B

Tianjin-based Sea Cloud Technology, developer of data visualization solutions provider Hydata, has won RMB 100 mln in Series B funding led by IDG Capital Partners and Shengjing Jiacheng Fund of Funds, with participation from Oriental Fortune Capital and Shanggu Capital.
Hydata provides comprehensive big data and analysis services using data visualization technology and algorithms, allowing customers to visualize the data and improve decision-making and forecasting. The company's customers cover industries including smart cities, finance, fast-moving consumer goods, and manufacturing. Hydata also provides services to government departments such as China's Ministry of Public Security and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
Hydata announced that, through research, expansion, and the release of open data products, it will integrate "AI capabilities" to better enable its partners and users. The company also proposed an RMB 200 mln AI support plan in partnership with investors to provide companies along the industry chain with capital, AI technology, resources, and platforms.
Sea Cloud Technology previously received RMB 3 mln in angel funding in 2014 and RMB 15 mln in pre-Series A funding in April 2015 from Oriental Fortune Capital. In March 2016, the company received RMB 100 mln in Series A funding led by Shanggu Capital, with participation from Oriental Fortune Capital.
