Co-working and Business Consulting Service Kr Space Raises RMB 600 Mln Pre-B Funding

Beijing-based Kr Space Information Technology, operator of co-working space and business consulting services platform Kr Space, recently announced completion of RMB 600 mln in pre-Series B funding. In November 2016, Kr Space completed Series A funding from Colony Yangtz Fund, investor Feng Lun, Unity Ventures, and Gobi Partners. The company completed RMB 200 mln in Series A+ funding from Wang Sicong, Prometheus Capital, and IDG Capital Partners in late 2016.
Kr Space was established in April 2014 as part of technology, media and entrepreneurial services company 36K, and subsequently spun off in January 2016. The company derives traffic from entrepreneurs using 36Kr.com's media platform, which account for approximately 70% of users.
Kr Space also offers startup community and service solutions, including startup incubation, online and offline connection-making services, and venture capital brokering services. Its app includes links to interactive entrepreneur community platforms where users can publish business information, and it also allows users to reserve meeting rooms and office space.
According to the Kr Space website, the company currently has 2,000 member enterprises and 20,000 individual members throughout China. It manages more than 30 communities in nine cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Tianjin, Chengdu, and Suzhou.
