Unigroup Releases High-performance Flash Memory Products for Consumers, Enterprises

Unigroup Storage Technology (UNIC), a subsidiary of Tsinghua Unigroup, recently announced a series of high-performance flash memory products covering mobile device storage, notebook computer consumer-grade storage, and enterprise-grade storage for data centers and cloud computing platforms. Products include a mobile universal flash storage (UFS) 2.1 product featuring 3D TLC NAND.

UNIC's latest products use interface protocols including eMMC, UFS, SATA, and PCIe, and BGA, M.2, and U.2 form factors.

UNIC's UFS product line, the first to be developed within China, is aimed at flagship smartphones and high-end tablet computer applications. It uses the latest JEDEC UFS 2.1 protocol and supports dual-line MIPI M-PHY HS-Gear 3 at the physical layer, with maximum transmission speeds reaching 11.6 Gbps. The product offers SSD-grade performance and also meets consumer devices' requirements for low power consumption.
