Beijing Daily, 4/09/18

Chinese authorities have ordered domestic app stores to suspend download services for four news apps - Today's Headlines (Bytedance), Phoenix News (Phoenix New Media), NetEase News, and Tiantian Kuaibao (Tencent) - by 3pm today, according to feedback from several app store vendors. The four apps are being penalized with mandatory suspension from app stores for 3 weeks, 2 weeks, 1 week, and 3 days, respectively.

The Beijing Daily reporter verified this news with internet regulators, but as of the deadline, all four apps were still available in Apple's App Store.
