Yuntian Lifei to Commercialize Edge-based Embedded AI Chip in H1 2019

Shenzhen Press Group, 4/27/18

Shenzhen-based visual intelligent systems developer Yuntian Lifei Technology recently announced new progress in its development of an embedded AI chip for edge computing, and said that it plans to begin fabrication this year to support commercial application in H1 2019.

Yuntian Lifei's technology approach to the AI chip, or intelligent processing unit (IPU), uses a series of programmable processers for multi-level neural networks to support rapid iteration of AI algorithms. The chips are optimized for smart computer vision application scenarios in the security and smart commerce domains.

Yuntian Lifei offers end-to-end integrated solutions combining algorithms, chips, data, applications, and services. Algorithms are embedded in head-end smart video cameras for facial detection and feature extraction. Data is then transmitted to its cloud platform, where a cloud-based engine performs search, identification, and decision-making tasks.
