Ant Financial, CDH, Koubei Invest USD 200 Mln in Group Catering Service Provider Xiyun

Beijing-based group catering service provider Xiyun Enterprise Management has won USD 200 mln in Series A funding from Ant Financial, the financial services affiliate of Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA), CDH Investment, and Alibaba-affiliated local life service platform Koubei.
Group catering companies are the outsourced rear services operating school canteens and company dining halls. Xiyun specifically provides services to these types of companies through five fully owned subsidiaries, detailed below.
Xiyun Century Brand helps link small restaurants and group catering companies and earns a profit through helping product brands perform operations and training.
Xiyun Qianlian helps group catering perform centralized procurement and organize supply chains, earning a profit through price differences.
Xiyun Food Safety provides food safety training, food safety monitoring, and food testing services.
Xiyun Management Consulting provides professional training courses and consulting services.
Xiyun Information offers ERP solutions and consumer behavioral data analysis. The company earns revenue through commissions on precision marketing.
Xiyun currently has more than 130,000 catering center and 2 mln restaurant clients. Ant Financial and Chinese group catering company Kinghey are its core stakeholders.
