Beijing-based Internet data center maintenance robot developer Chaowei Shiji Technology (DCM360) recently announced completion of RMB 8-digit pre-Series A funding from Beijing-based Guyin Fund.
DCM360's core product combines an online IT operations and maintenance management system with offline maintenance robots. DCM360 founder Tian Zihao said that the company's IT maintenance robots use visual recognition systems to collect data center equipment information including indicator light, thermal imaging and temperature, and humidity data. This information is used by its operations and maintenance management system to generate a warnings database. In addition, DCM360's robots use SLAM and the company's own map-drawing algorithms to create room maps for seamless navigation and inspection.
DCM360's maintenance robots are priced between RMB 350,000 and RMB 750,000 and it has already shipped 10 units. The company currently has 13 clients including State Grid Corporation subsidiary State Grid Information and Communications Industry Group, China Southern Power Grid, and China Construction Bank. Three of its partners have already completed deployment of DCM360 equipment.
