Douyin Secures Music Copyrights from Major Global Record Labels

Short music video sharing platform Douyin, operated by Beijing-based Bytedance Technology, recently signed partnership agreements with several recording labels and music copyright agencies including Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Taihe Music Group, and Touch Music Publishing, to gain full access to their music libraries.

Douyin said that its licensed music resources now exceed more than 10 mln songs worldwide, which will enable users to create new, high-quality short video content.

In addition, Douyin has also partnered with 800 Chinese music companies including Beijing-based record label Modern Sky to offer licensed access to their music resources.
