E-commerce Software and Services Provider ShopEx Wins RMB 700 Mln Series D

Shanghai-based e-commerce software and services provider ShopEx Network Technology recently secured RMB 700 mln in Series D funding led by Joy Capital. In addition to existing shareholder participation, China Renaissance K2 Ventures, New Alliance Capital, Tianxing Capital, Gopher Asset Management, and China Broadband Capital also participated in the round.
ShopEx, established in 2002, builds software systems and combines payment channels for e-commerce merchants, while also integrating third-party resources to provide merchants with financial and supply chain services. Its services and technologies cover PC and mobile, online and offline, and its customer base includes large enterprises such as Lenovo, Midea, and Vivo, as well as small- and mid-sized businesses. In the next three years, the company will focus efforts on "micro-shop" and "applet" projects.
ShopEx previously received USD 7-digit Series A funding in 2010 from Legend Capital; USD 8-digit Series B funding in 2011 from Bertelsmann Asia Investments, Legend Capital, and Lenovo Capital; and RMB 8-digit Series C funding in January 2012 from Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA).
