Online Wedding Service Platform MarryMemo Secures USD 65 Mln Series C

Hangzhou-based Suncloud, operator of online and mobile one-stop wedding services platform Hunli Ji ("MarryMemo"), recently announced completion of USD 65 mln in Series C funding led by Orchid Asia Group Management with participation by Matrix Partners China and Fosun RZ Capital. Yu Zhe, CEO of Suncloud said that following the funding round the company will increase investment in product development, recruit additional wedding industry staff, create a smart transaction system, and use big data to provide smart wedding service recommendations to users.
Hunli Ji was established in 2013 and began by offering simple registry services. The company has since developed to become a one-stop wedding planning platform covering wedding reception, photography, planning, car rental, officiating, and overseas wedding services.
Hunli Ji has also developed a software-as-a-service platform called Yun Ke, which offers tailored enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) services for wedding industry merchants to help them reduce operations and management costs.
Hunli Ji also plans to create a RMB 200 mln industry investment fund to develop upstream and downstream resources.
The Hunli Ji platform currently has more than 80,000 partnering merchants and covers 100 cities throughout China. It has served more than 10 mln users and monthly gross merchandise volume exceeds RMB 1 bln. The company said that it recorded significant profits in 2017.
