Semantic Interaction Solutions Provider Qiwu Completes RMB 50 Mln Series A

Shenzhen-based Renma Interactive Technology, operator of semantic interaction solutions brand Qiwu, recently announced completion of RMB 50 mln in Series A funding led by Shanghai-based Beiyue Industry with participation by an investment fund managed by Lihe Zaiwu Venture Capital (Leaguer VC), game developer Boyaa Interactive (0434.HK), Youmi Mobile Technology (834156.NEEQ), Zhongtong Capital, and individual investors Dai Zhikang and Xu Shandan.
Qiwu is positioned as a semantic interaction solutions provider in the pan-entertainment domain. Its main products include:
Smart games: Qiwu partners with game enterprises to develop games based on voice interaction. Gamers can use voice commands to control gameplay.
Virtual idols: Qiwu partners with animation IP holders and film stars to develop smart virtual idols that can learn and engage in voice interaction with fans to mine IP value.
Smart life services: Qiwu plans to launch a new "smart life assistant" similar to Apple's voice assistant application Siri in late 2018. The service will be able to look up plane tickets, book hotel rooms, and place restaurant takeout orders.
Qiwu was established in October 2016 and completed RMB 7-digit angel funding in April 2017 from Guangzhou-based Haichaunghui Venture Capital Management, Shenzhen-based Qianhai Horn Fund Management, and an individual angel investor.
