Xiaomi-backed Smart Kitchen Appliance Maker Chunmi Wins RMB 9-digit Series C+

Shanghai-based smart kitchen appliance maker Chunmi Electronic Technology today announced the completion of Series C+ funding jointly from NGP Capital and Yingke Innovation Asset Management. Chunmi raised RMB 9-digits across its Series C and C+.

Chunmi will gradually expand from kitchen appliances to gourmet content operations and user dining preference data analysis, according to founder Yang Hua. The company will continue to release a full series of kitchen appliances both under its own brand as well as under Mi Home, Chinese Android device maker Xiaomi's smart device ecosystem. Meanwhile, food content operations and user data analysis will drive the release of several peripheral products to create a Chunmi gourmet ecosystem.
