Beijing Leads China with Mobile Phone Penetration Over 180% in June 2022

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released statistics detailing the country's fixed-line telephone and mobile phone penetration rates by province as of the end of June 2022. Beijing and Shanghai led China with mobile phone penetration rates (total SIM cards per 100 people) of 180.6 and 175.2, respectively, while Tibet and Jiangxi had China's lowest mobile penetration rates with 91.7 and 100.9, respectively.
