Cainiao Parcel Pick-up Lockers Deployed in Poland

Cashless.pl, 3/09/21

A working self-service parcel pick-up locker operated by Cainiao, the logistics arm of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA; 9988.HK), has been deployed on one of Warsaw's streets, reports Cashless.pl.

Alibaba's plans to launch a network of parcel devices in Poland was reported a few months ago by the "Wiadomości Handlowe" service. Later this was confirmed by an Alibaba representative in Europe, who explained the devices would be installed in the country's largest cities and would play a complementary role to other delivery methods. Alibaba does not intend to end cooperation with InPost, from which customers can already receive purchases ordered on Alibaba online retail platform AliExpress.
