Netcom Releases Financial Results for Q1-Q3 2008

China Netcom (NYSE: CN; 0906.HK) has released selected unaudited financial results for the first three quarters of 2008. Revenue during the period was RMB 60.68 bln, including upfront connection fees of RMB 710 mln. Broadband subscribers increased 35% YoY to 24.86 mln, however local access subscribers, including residential, business, public phone and PHS, decreased 6% to 107.33 mln. Average revenue per user (ARPU) was stable, with a slight increase among broadband subscribers.
