Google China Donates Servers to Universities

Google and the China Education and Research Network (CERNET) jointly announced today that launch of the "Google Mini Search Server Donation Project," which will provider 200 Google search servers to 200 Chinese universities. Kai-Fu Lee, Google's president for the Greater China region, said that the Google servers being donated can search 300,000 search documents, making them among the most powerful products in Google's Mini server line, integrating Google's search software technology to aid universities in integrating their information and using data resources.
