Rumor: China Unicom Constructs WCDMA Networks in 7 Cities

Insiders have revealed that China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) is starting WCDMA network trials in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Foshan, Liuzhou, Baoding and Wuxi. Approximately 100 base stations will be deployed in each trial city.
