Kongzhong to Increase Mobile Game Revenue Percentage

Wang Leilei, CEO of Chinese WAP portal and wireless value-added services provider Kongzhong (Nasdaq: KONG), stated in the company's Q3 2008 financial results conference call that the company expects mobile gaming revenues to account for 20-25% of total operating revenues in 2009. In Q3 this year, revenues from mobile games accounted for 10% of total operating revenues.

In the same call, Kongzhong CFO, Sam Sun, also stated that in 2007 and 2008, Kongzhong spent USD 10 mln and USD 20 mln respectively on promoting its Kong.net brand. This spending will see a significant decrease in 2009.
