Alisoft SaaS Center Starts Construction in Changshu

South Daily, 11/26/08

Alibaba's software subsidiary Alisoft has begun construction on its first software-as-a-service (SaaS) center in Changshu, Jiangsu province. Alibaba senior VP and Alisoft president Wang Tao says the center will go into operation next year and will focus on supporting Changshu's 10,000 SMEs to use "e-Wang Da Jin," Alisoft's basic online informatization service platform product. Alisoft will expand to other Jiangsu cities in the future.

Alisoft entered the Jiangsu market in 2007, and now has more than 200 channel partners and nearly 1,000 employees serving the region. The service has more than 800,000 free users.
