Game Platform Operator Lands USD 10 Mln Second-Round

Fuzhou-based SkyUnion Digital, which develops and operates massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG), received a second round of funding worth USD 10 mln from IDGVC this month.

Through its overseas publishing arm, IGG, SkyUnion provides games and services to gamers around the world (primarily Europe and North America, at present). Since first beginning North American and European operations in 2006, it has established subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, China, and Hong Kong, with a Singapore subsidiary also planned. SkyUnion has more than 300 employees around the world, and more than 7 mln registered users of its platforms, with gamer coverage exceeding 100 countries.
