China Mobile Finalizes Cities, Suppliers for TD-SCDMA Networks

According to equipment suppliers, the breakdown of suppliers and cities for China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) second round of bidding for the construction of urban TD-SCDMA networks is essentially complete. Most cities were assigned two equipment suppliers, with a portion of relatively small-scale projects assigned only one supplier. Select details for each supplier are as follows:
Datang Mobile: Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Changchun
ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ): Fuzhou, Jinan, and Harbin
Huawei: Zhengzhou, Taiyuan, Nanchang, Chengdu, and Chongqing, plus a small percentage of Nanjing and Hangzhou, and a 10% share in Hefei
Putian (Potevio): Shijiazhuang, Wuhan, and Kunming
Nokia Siemens Networks: Fuzhou, Haikou, Zhengzhou, and Nanchang
Ericsson: Jinan, Chongqing, and Lanzhou

China Mobile's second tender for TD-SCDMA equipment covers 28 cities, with a total investment of over RMB 30 bln.
