Chip Developers Score Wins in CMMB Terminal Procurement

Following the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television's (SARFT) release of bidding results for China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting (CMMB) terminal procurement contracts, CMMB chipset developer Innofidei has announced that over 80% of the approximately 120 enterprises that obtained procurement contracts will use Innofidei CMMB chips.

Similarly, Chinese mobile handset chip developer Spreadtrum Communications (Nasdaq: SPRD) stated that of the more than 30 handset manufacturers that obtained procurement contracts, over 70% will use chips developed by Spreadtrum.
