CDC Corporation Records Q4 2008 Net Loss of USD 84 mln

Chinese global enterprise software and new media company CDC Corporation (Nasdaq: CHINA) has issued its earnings report for Q4 2008, with total revenues reaching USD 96 mln, down 10%. 2008 full-year net revenues rose to USD 409 mln, up 4% year-on-year over the 2007 figure.
Net loss for the quarter came to USD 84 mln, compared to a net loss of USD 94 mln in the same quarter 2007. The company also recorded a net loss of USD 116 mln for the full year, compared to a net loss of USD 105 mln in 2007.
Yearly revenues from its CDC Software subsidiary were USD 240 mln, steady compared to 2007. Revenues from its Global Services subsidiary were USD 110 mln, up 1% YoY. Revenues from its CDC Games subsidiary were USD 45 mln, up 34%. Revenues from its China.com (8006.HK) portal were USD 14 mln, up 20% YoY.
