Baidu Works to Link Up E-Commerce Service

Cai Hu, GM of the e-commerce division at Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU), said at the recent APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance Forum in Chengdu that Baidu YouA will work to integrate its e-commerce services with Baidu's search engine. Cai said that Baidu is continually working to research and explore the possibilities of linking its search engine and online community sites with its e-commerce business.

An industry source revealed that Baidu YouA has been steadily recruiting new employees lately, in an attempt to increase its scale, while Baidu's third-party payment platform Baifubao has been steadily introducing new features and services.
