Chinese Education Firm Ambow Files for IPO on NYSE

In a July 14 filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Chinese education service firm Ambow Education Group announced plans to raise USD 138 mln in funds in an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, possibly as soon as early August.

According to the prospectus, Ambow plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol AMBO. JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs (Asia) will serve as underwriters. Ambow has yet to reveal the number of shares to be issued or price range.
