Tencent Licenses Korean MMO

Chinese online game developer and operator Tencent (0700.HK) has licensed the mainland China operating rights to Korean developer XL Games' MMORPG Archeage for over USD 40 mln.

XL Games said the two companies have already signed a confidential agreement and it cannot reveal the contents of the agreement.

Development began on Archeage in late 2006, which is slated for completion in 2011. The game began first-round internal testing in Korea this July.
