SARFT to Begin 3D TV Trials Next Year

Zhu Hong, spokesperson for China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), said today that the relevant departments of SARFT are organizing the research and drafting of Chinese 3D television standards, with plans to begin trial 3D broadcasts next year. Zhu said that SARFT is fully invested in supporting the development of 3D television. During this year's World Cup, SARFT organized CCTV and other work units to perform 3D TV tests.
