ZTE to Release OPhone Priced Under RMB 1K in 2011

Luo Zhongsheng, deputy GM of Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer ZTE's (0763.HK; 000063.SZ) handset systems business has revealed that moving forward ZTE's handset business will focus primarily on developing TD-SCDMA handsets, and next year will release an OPhone priced under RMB 1,000.

ZTE also announced that Android is the primary mobile OS for its handsets, and in order to further promote the operating system, ZTE will release Android handsets priced under RMB 1,000.
