Media Firms, Konka Partner on New Internet TV Service

Radio and Television Shanghai (RTS) and the Shanghai Media Group (SMG) held a press conference in Shanghai yesterday to announce that they will partner with Chinese television manufacturer Konka (200016.SZ, 000016.SZ) to launch a new internet TV service and line of smart TV sets. With SMG's new BesTV BBTV terminals and Konka's next-generation smart televisions, viewers will be able to enjoy a range of 20 content channels, including movies, television dramas, finance information, and educational programming, and to create their own programming to be published online after passing review.
